Adults
2nd Thursday of the month. 3:00 - 4:30PM
Each month a new book is covered. Check the Library website for book selections. No reservations required.
Tuesday & Thursday, 12:30pM - 2:30PM
Placer School for Adults has partnered with Placer County Library to provide this program at the Rocklin Library, in the community room. This class provides English as a Second Language instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the context of many areas of modern life, including health, finances, education, and technology. Students will learn how to use English to participate more effectively in their daily lives. Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) pre- and post-testing is required of all students enrolled in this class. Participants must register in advance using the online ESL interest form.
2nd Tuesday of the month. 3:30 - 4:30PM
Two dogs with handlers are available for your child to read to. Children are less hesitant to read out loud to a dog than to their peers.
Wednesday, 9:30AM
(age 3 to 5 years)
This 30 minute program includes stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun for children and their caregivers.
Wednesday, 10:30AM
Friday, 9:30AM
(age 18 months to 3 years)
This 25-30 minute program includes movement, songs and books to develop First 5 skills for children.
Thursday, 10:30AM
(age 0 to 24 months)
This 30 minute program, with an additional 30 minutes of play afterwards, includes books, songs, rhymes, bounces, and playtime for babies and their caregivers.
All Friends of the Library meetings are held in the Rocklin Library Community Room.
